Ed Garner became the Waller ISD Director of Transportation in May 1999. He came to Waller ISD from Huntsville ISD where he served as a school bus driver, Assistant Director of Transportation, Purchasing Agent, Transportation Coordinator and Director of Transportation. Originally from Devine, Texas, he graduated from Devine High School in 1978. He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education (Industrial Arts). During his professional career, Mr. Garner has served as President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer of the Gulf Coast chapter of the Texas Association for Pupil Transportation (TAPT). He has also earned certification as a Director of Transportation/ National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT); a Texas Pupil Transportation Official/Texas Association for Pupil Transportation (TAPT); and a Transportation Specialist/Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO). Mr. Garner is married and the father of three sons. |
