Ted Jongbloed was named
WISD Director of Technology Services in the summer of 2004.
He is a native of Washington, D.C. and holds
a BS degree from
Old
Dominion
University
and a Masters
degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the
University
of
Colorado.
He is a
graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and
possesses several industry computer certifications including Cisco
Certified Network Associate. In addition, he is a retired US Army
Lieutenant Colonel and has directed a succession of army training
organizations, including U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy.
Mr.
Jongbloed has been a teacher, administrator, instructional design
specialist, video production manager and multimedia specialist. Prior
to his employment by Waller ISD, he was the Director for Instructional
Technology Services at Region IV Education Service Center in
Houston,
Texas.
As
Director, he planned, directed, and conducted instructional technology
support services for the largest service center in
Texas,
supporting 54 school districts and 82,000 teachers. He has been a
presenter at numerous state, regional, and national conferences and is
known for his high-energy presentations and his practical approach to
the use of technology in schools.
Mr. Jongbloed is married and the father of two adult children.
