Maryann
McDaniel was named the Waller ISD Math Coordinator in the summer of 2004.
Mrs. McDaniel has served
as the School Improvement Specialist in Math and Science for Spring Branch
ISD; she has taught high school mathematics at The School of Choice in
Spring Branch ISD; and she has taught middle school mathematics for three
summers in the Rice University Summer School for eighth-twelfth graders.
In other career fields, Mrs. McDaniel has been the editor of a lifestyle
magazine, a freelance writer, and a stockbroker.
Mrs. McDaniel is a
native of Wilmington, Delaware, but has lived in Texas for 35 years. She
graduated from Custer County High School in Miles City, Montana, and
received a BA degree in Government/Pre-Law from Montana State University.
She received an MA degree in Teaching and Mathematics from Rice
University, and has completed the coursework for a doctorate in
Curriculum/Instruction and Mathematics at the University of Houston.
Mrs. McDaniel and her
husband reside in Hockley, Texas. She has a daughter, son, two
step-daughters, three step-grandchildren, and a brand new granddaughter! |
