Waller
High School serves ninth through twelfth
grade students with a comprehensive academic program designed to
accommodate the wide variety of learning styles and interests common to a
diversified student population. Program highlights include Dual Credit and
Advance Placement courses, Tech-Prep School-To-Work programs, and
articulation agreements with the Lone Star College System. WHS offers quality integrated technology education and in
2005, the WHS Computer Science Team won the primarily 5A Texas Computer
Education Association Large Division State Championship as well as the State
4A UIL Computer Science Championship for the second year in a row. WHS Girls
Wrestling were the State Dual Champions in 2008. WHS Varsity Football
Team advanced to the State Quarterfinals in 2007-2008, and
the WHS
Band qualified for the State Marching Contest in 2008. WHS students are offered the opportunity to
participate in an extensive array of extracurricular activities ranging
from fine arts to athletics and agriculture. Additional T.A.K.S. practice
is provided through Saturday study sessions and individual tutoring before and after
school.
Students are also offered several opportunities to recover lost credit with the ANYWHERE online learning system
afterschool.

Waller
Junior High serves sixth through eighth grade students with a curriculum
designed for successful student transitioning into high school. Students
have the opportunity to earn as many as 14 high school credits by
participating in the comprehensive academic program. The school offers many
innovative electives including Cadet Corps, Robotics, Guitar, Space
Exploration, College Prep and Creative Writing. WJH students actively
participate in U.I.L. academic and athletic competitions. The school has
won the District UIL Academic Championship four of the last six years and is
the current reigning champion. In 2006, Waller was the District Champion
in Basketball and in Track for the 2007-2008 year. Waller Junior High has
an extensive After-School Program and award winning band program. The Gifted
and Talented program is engaging and timely offering an Independent Study
course for high school credit. |

Schultz Junior High School
serves sixth through eighth
grade students in Waller ISD. Carnegie- and Project CRISS-trained teachers
are on staff at SJH, and the
faculty as a whole has been recognized as a leader in integrated technology
learning. SJH students take
a rigorous course of studies in core academic subjects and are offered the
opportunity to participate in
a balanced fine arts program that includes theater arts, music, band, and
computer classes. Reading skills
are enhanced using the READ 180 and Read Naturally programs, and an extensive After-School Program offers academic and
enrichment activities. In 2003, a district-wide R.O.P.E.S. (Reality Oriented
Physical Experience Service) was added at the SJH campus.

ISD elementary schools serve students PreK through
fifth grade with quality educational programs that honor
