Mr. Kaminski is a 1974 graduate of Tomball High School. After graduation he began his working career as a draftsman while attending night classes at North Harris County College. In 1978, he graduated with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in drafting technology. He is currently employed as the piping department manager for BE&K Engineering and Construction in Houston.

Mr. Kaminski and his wife, Catherine, are the parents of four children, two of whom are WISD graduates. Two are still attending Waller ISD schools.
