WHS Student Council
presents “Soul to Soul” Feb. 25
In honor of Black History Month, Feb.
25, Waller High School’s (WHS) student council will host “Soul to Soul:
Celebrating the Contributions of African Americans in Education”.
A meal of “soul food” (smothered pork chops, green beans, rice, corn
bread, and tea) will be served in the WHS cafeteria from 6-7 p.m. A special
recognition ceremony will follow.
Special recognition nominations are being accepted for retired WISD
African American employees that have made a great impact on education.
Nomination forms are available at WHS and local churches.
Tickets for the event are $5 for current or retired WISD employees and
students and $7 for community members.
