WHS BPA students
compete in Regional, 9 advance to State
Jan. 19, Waller High School (WHS)
Business Professionals of America (BPA) students competed in Regional
competition at Memorial High School in Houston. 16 students brought home
16 medals; nine will advance to state.
Advancing to state are: Michelle Reay (second in Desktop
Publishing), Alex Walker (third in Legal Office Procedures), TJ Mock
(third in Java Programming), Max Corral (first in Graphic Design),
Victoria Douglas (second in Advanced Interview), Lauren Forester (second
in Presentation Management Individual), and the team of Jeana Benoit,
Douglas, and Reay (first in Presentation Management Team).
Jared Croy took a fourth and is a state alternate in Java
programming; Lynn Luo took third and is a state alternate in
Entrepreneurship.
Miranda Ingram took fourth place in Technology Concepts Open Event;
Ashley Jackson, fourth in Advance Office Procedures; Chelsea Contravis,
fourth in Graphic Design; and Jayme Jackson, fourth in Presentation
Management Individual. Luo took second place in Math Open Event and
fourth in Management Open Event.
Aaron Oliphant competed in Fundamental Word Processing, Maria
Aponte competed in Advanced Word Processing, Tyler Heitman competed in
Interview, and Benoit competed in Graphic Design. |
