WISD Board Cancels May 13 Trustee Election
WALLER – During its regular meeting April 10, the Waller ISD Board of
Trustees issued an order that declared the May 13, 2006 trustee election
canceled and reelected incumbents, David Kaminski (Position 5), Robert
“Bo” Pierce (Position 6), and Robert Carvell (Position 7). The incumbents
ran unopposed for their positions.
The Board also recognized a number of outstanding
students including WJH UIL One Act Play champions, WJH District academic
champions, WISD Special Olympians, WHS State Powerlifting Champion
DeAndrea Bowde, WHS One Act Play Zone winners, and WHS Rodeo Art winners.
In other business, representatives from Waller High
School and Waller Junior High presented information concerning the
proposed Waller ISD Drug Testing Policy. After a lengthy discussion,
action on the item was postponed so that more research on the policy can
be done.
Important dates notes were: April 23 – Waller High
School New Addition Dedication; Open House and May 8 – Regular Board
meeting.
