Purchasing Seminar for employees.
In late August, Jim
Carlisle, director of purchasing for Region II Education Service Center
in Corpus Christi (a well known and respected expert in the field of
public purchasing) presented a seminar to approximately 42 Waller ISD
employees. Representatives from the maintenance department,
transportation department, various Waller ISD campuses, special services
department, and the business office were present. The subjects covered
were purchasing laws and regulations, an update on new legislation that
impacts bidding and purchasing in school districts, and does and do
not’s. A question and answer session followed. |
