(L-R) WISD Assistant
Tax Assessor-Collector Robbin Knebel and WISD Deputy Tax Assessor
Collector Elaine McLerran prepare consolidated tax statements for
Waller ISD and the cities of Waller and Prairie View. The
consolidation involves the addition of approximately 22,000 City of
Waller and Prairie View city tax statements to Waller ISD tax
statements. |
Waller ISD Assistant
Superintendent for Finance Mike Marcus announced this week that
beginning immediately, tax collection for the City of Waller and the
City of Prairie View will all be done from the Waller ISD Tax Office
at 1918 Key Street in Waller.
WISD and the
cities’ tax bills will be mailed on one statement that will also
include tax information newly required by Senate Bill 18. Taxes can be
paid by mail, but those who want to pay in person will need to do it
at the Waller ISD Tax Office. There will no longer be a tax office at
Waller City Hall.
City of Waller
early payment discounts will still apply: a 3% discount for Waller
city taxes paid in October, a 2% discount for Waller city taxes paid
in November, and a 1% discount for Waller city taxes paid in December.
Partial payments will also be accepted.
