- All newly
constructed/renovated areas are occupied.
2/13/06
- The anticipated completion
date for the project is scheduled for February 28, 2006.
Notice to proceed was given to Gamma Construction on September
2, 2004.
1/09/06
- The front entry to the Fine
Arts Center is scheduled for completion the week of January
23rd-27th. Items remaining for completion include floor tile,
VCT, painting and various furnishings.
- The new gymnasium is scheduled
for completion the week of January 16th-20th. Basketball goals
and bleachers are currently being installed.
- The Performing Arts Center is
scheduled for completion by January 31st. The auditorium
seating, final coats of paint, miscellaneous stage lighting,
rigging and curtains are in the process of installation.
- The "ROTC" renovation area is
scheduled for completion the week of February 1st. Demolition
work and new construction of the spaces are running
concurrently.
- The Water Plant is scheduled
for completion February 28th. The galvanized water storage
tank delivery is scheduled for January 31st. The hydro-tank
has arrived on-site.

12/12/05
- Data cabling installation is
complete in the new Academic Addition. Waller ISD is
currently moving into this area.
- The wood floor in the new
Gymnasium has been installed and is currently in the process
of being sanded and sealed.
- The ceiling clouds at the
Performing Arts Center are installed. The entrance to
the Performing Arts Center is continuing as scheduled with the
arrival of glazing and storefront frames.
- The Fine Arts Center is
progressing as scheduled with Waller ISD currently moving into
this space.
- Renovation area scheduled for
the December break is currently being moved out of by Waller
ISD. Gamma Construction to proceed in this area once
given the go ahead by Waller ISD.
- Exterior walls and roof are
done at the Water Plant site. Exterior piping is stubbed
out to the tank and is ready for the water tank to arrive
onsite. The city is in the process of installing their water
line to building. CenterPoint is setting power
poles for the overhead electrical service.

Gamma Construction is finishing up all items on the
Athletic Annex punch list in preparation of re-walk
through with SHW and DBR.
-
Gamma Construction's cleaning crew is working in
preparation of the initial walk through with SHW. Data
cabling work is continuing during this cleaning
period. The majority of the new lockers are installed
in the new Academic Addition.
-
The painter has finished in the gymnasium excluding
some touch up areas. The wood flooring is on-site and
is acclimatizing in preparation for installation. The
bleachers are on site and waiting for the wood
flooring to be installed first.
-
Painting is continuing at the performing Arts Center.
Preparation for the theatre lighting and sound system
is complete. The entrance to the Performing Arts
Center is continuing as scheduled.

The Fine Arts Center is progressing as scheduled.
Ceiling grids have been installed along with light
fixtures. Ceramic tile, painting and the installation
of mill work is nearing completion. The front entry to
the school is continuing to be framed.

renovation work punch list.

begin this week.

Construction is finishing all items on the Athletic
Annex punch list in preparation of re-walk through
with SHW and DBR.

Air conditioning in the
new Academic Addition is up and running. Ceiling
tiles, floor tile, and VCT installation are nearing
completion. Carpet installation has begun. The
installation of marker boards is continuing.

flooring has arrived on site and is acclimatizing in
preparation for installation.

Construction is finishing all items on the Athletic
Annex punch list in preparation of re-walk through

scheduled for an above-ceiling punch list the early
part of this week. Casework has been delivered and is
being installed inside the classrooms. Ceiling grids
and lights have been installed.

Work is beginning on the
front entry to the new gymnasium and the tie-in entry
to the existing school. Walls have been painted with
primer.

Drywall work is continuing
at the Performing Arts Center. VAV boxes are
installed. Roof and trim work is being finished in
this area and in the Performing Arts Center. Work is
continuing at the entrance to the auditorium.

Performing Arts Center is progressing as scheduled.
Ceiling grids and light fixtures have been installed.
Duct insulation is currently being installed.

Gamma Construction is
finishing all items on the renovation work punch list.

Water plant site has been
cleared by Gamma Construction as of 9/10/05. The road
to the site has been completed in anticipation of the
start of construction.

Gamma
Construction has received a punch list from SHW for
items requiring completion or touch up. This work will
be done at night and coordinated with the Athletic
director to avoid conflict with WISD Athletics. Hydro
mulch has been sprayed along the building's exterior.

Interior CMU walls are being primed for final paint
coat in the new Academic Addition. Work is continuing
in the new science lab areas. All MEP is continuing as
scheduled. Ceiling grids are currently being
installed.

Brick veneer installation
is almost complete at the new Gymnasium with the
exception of exterior pilasters. MEP work in this area
is almost complete.
-
Exterior walls are up and the majority of the
auditorium has brick veneer installed. Drywall
installation at the floor and ceiling level is
continuing. Installation of wall bracing along the
stage rigging side of the stage has begun.

The
Performing Arts Center is progressing as scheduled.
Drywall has been installed in the majority of the
rooms in this area.

Work
within the renovation area has been completed with a
few minor things left to do. Gamma Construction has
received a punch list from SHW for items requiring
completion or touch up. Gamma is working with school
administrators to avoid conflict with normal WHS
operations.

Athletic Annex is currently being moved into by WISD
coaching staff. Gamma Construction has received a
punch list from SHW for items requiring completion or
touch up. The work will be done at night and
coordinated with the Athletic Director as not to
conflict with WISD athletics.

The
block wall leave out at the new Academic Building has
been filled in. Sheathing and insulation has been
installed and is waiting for brick veneer
application.. All stairs to the mechanical mezzanine
along with exterior windows have been installed.
-
Brick veneer installation
is almost complete at the new Gymnasium, with the
exception of the block leave out for mechanical unit
access. This area, similar to the Academic Building,
will be built once all mechanical units have been
installed.
-
Exterior walls are up and the majority of the
Auditorium has brick veneer installed. Rough drywall
installation at the floor and ceiling level has begun.
-
The
Performing Arts Center
is progressing
as
scheduled. The connection between the new entry and
the existing entry has been framed in and the roof
system has been installed.

The
renovation of the main library and the main corridor
is progressing rapidly. Bulkheads and ceilings have
been framed in. All new interior walls have been
placed in both the library and the athletic renovation
area.

Progress at new Athletic Annex is proceeding as
scheduled. Interior finishes and millwork are
currently being installed, with the middle of July as
anticipated completion date.

Masonry at Academic Addition is 90% complete. Once
stairs arrive on site and are installed, block wall
leave-out will be constructed.
-
Exterior wall sheathing is almost complete and brick
veneer installation is beginning at the new Gymnasium.
Ductwork and drywall above 20'-0' is currently being
installed.
-
Steel work is almost complete at the Auditorium.
Exterior walls are up and have exterior sheathing on
them. The roof is approximately 90% installed in this
area.

The
Performing Arts Center
is progressing
as
scheduled. The building is almost dried in with the
exception of the Hi/Lo roof wall, which will begin
shortly. Brick work is continuing and the structural
connection to the existing corridor is nearing
completion.

Demolition work nearing completion inside the main
building with the exception of the mechanical
mezzanine.
