One of the main philosophies of the Waller ISD Public Information program is that the many, many intrinsic things that help make up a quality school public information program - a smile, a friendly word, being a good listener, the constant practice of objectivity, and the like  - are just as important, if not more so, than the visible components of the program listed below.

Newspaper coverage – Articles and photos on special WISD events and programs as well as School Board coverage are regularly submitted to the Waller Times, Hotline, and the Waller County News Citizen.

Web site – WISD PI is responsible for the district web site - maintenance, content, and design.

Intranet – WISD PI shares the responsibility for the district intranet with WISD Technology Services.

Customer Service – WISD PI promotes customer service across the district and inquiries through the WISD main web site are answered seven days a week.

Information Center – In an effort to make publications and information from across the district and the community easily available for pick up by the public, WISD PI has created and is responsible for the maintenance of a district Information Center in the Administration Building lobby.

District print publications – WISD PI produces an annual information brochure, mailings for specific information needs, and brochures and special publications as needed for bond elections and other such events. WISD PI also provides a monthly WISD Public Information Report to administration, School Board members, and the public, detailing current WISD PI activities. (Copies are available upon request from the PI office.)

Out-of-district publications/publicity – WISD PI submits articles and/or photos to a number of related web sites and state and regional magazines in addition to providing information to realtors to enhance economic development. WISD PI is a member of the Texas School Public Relations Association.
