Mrs. Lacey was named the
principal of Fields Store Elementary School in the fall of 2001, well
before the opening of the school in the summer of 2002. During the
2001-2002 school year, she served in that new position in addition to
continuing as the principal of Jones Intermediate School where she had
served since the spring of 2000.
She came to Waller ISD from
Midlothian, Texas, where she served as Assistant Principal of Mt. Peak
Elementary School, a 640-student Kindergarten-fifth grade campus. Mrs. Lacy
has also served as Assistant Principal of Mt. Peak/ Irving Elementary and has
taught second, third, and fourth grades, high school science, elementary
physical education, and she has served as a high school coach.
In addition to her
educational experience, she was employed as a Credit Administration Officer
for Nations Bank for 10 years.
A native of Angleton, Texas,
Mrs. Lacey moved several times during her school years because of her
father’s job as a high school football coach and athletic director. Her
mother was also an educator as are her sister and brother.
Mrs. Lacey received a B.S.
degree in Education from East Texas State University and a Masters degree in
Education and Mid-Management Certification from Texas A&M University
Commerce.
Mrs. Lacey is married and
the mother of four children. Her interests include her family, church, singing
and music, golf, camping, gardening and yardwork, and reading.
