Here are some of the skills are students will learn this year:
Reading- We use Texas Treasures as our Reading Curriculum. We also use Guided Reading and students will be expected to read at a level 18 or higher by the end of the year. They will also improve their comprehension and increase their vocabulary.
Writing- Students will learn how to write using complete sentences, capital letters, and correct punctuation. They will also know how to write a story having a beginning, middle, and end.
Math – They will read and write numbers up to 120. Students will add and subtract numbers up to 18. They will also learn about money, measurement, time, graphs and how to solve word problems.
