Media Credential Request

Waller ISD (WISD) Athletics welcomes coverage of our student-athletes and athletic programs. To maintain student safety, protect instructional/athletic environments, and ensure an appropriate workspace for reporters and photographers, media credentials are required for access to the sideline, press box, and designated media areas at all WISD athletic events.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for media credentials, requesters must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Recognized Media Outlets: Be an active employee, staff member, or assigned freelancer representing a recognized news organization, newspaper, television/radio station, or accredited sports publication with an established, reputable online and/or print presence.
• Registered Vendors: Be an approved, registered WISD vendor with a valid vendor agreement on file with the district (e.g., commercial photographers or videographers selling media).

Safety & Security Screening

• Identity Verification: All requests are subject to WISD safety and security protocols. Requesters must submit a copy of a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID for background screening.
• Credential Display: Passes must be worn and clearly visible at all times while on WISD property. Credentials are non-transferable.

Guidelines & Revocation

• Student Privacy: Credentials grant access strictly for event coverage. Direct contact or interviews with student-athletes require prior approval from the WISD Athletic Director Nekisha Durham at ndurham@wallerisd.net.
• Right of Revocation: Credentials remain the property of WISD. The district reserves the right to deny or revoke credentials at any time for non-compliance with district policies, safety concerns, or unprofessional conduct.

To request media credentials for an upcoming event, please complete the Waller ISD Media Credential Request Form at least 72 hours prior to the event.
