TSIA2
What is the TSIA 2.0 Assessment?
The Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) is a series of placement tests for students enrolling in public colleges and universities in Texas. AP EXAMS
AP Exams are standardized exams designed to measure how well you’ve mastered the content and skills of a specific AP course. Most AP courses have an end-of-year exam, but a few courses have different ways to assess what you’ve learned. Most U.S. colleges grant credit, advanced placement, or both for qualifying AP scores.
Any homeschool students that would like to register for a College Board AP exam, please contact Lori Bourgeois at lbourgeois@wallerisd.net or 936-372-3654.

The ASVAB measures aptitude in areas like verbal, math, science, and technical skills.
WHS LGI - Check in time begins at 7:15am and testing begins at 8:00 a.m. No student will be admitted after the exam begins.

CREDIT BY EXAM
Students with high achievement and ability in grades K-8 and high school have the opportunity to use credit by exam to skip a grade level or specific course in high school. Elementary and junior high students who earn scores of 80 or above on each component (language arts, math, science and social studies) will be qualified to advance one grade. Only one grade level may be skipped each year. High school students who earn a score of 80 or above on each half credit of a course for acceleration or earn a score of a 70 or above on each half credit of a course for recovery will have the grade placed on their transcript for credit.
Refer to Board Policy EHDC (Local), EHDC (Legal), and TAC 74.24
Parents requesting credit by exam to skip a grade level will complete the Waller ISD CBE Application (parent written approval).
The campus will facilitate the ordering of the exams from the university system for the student.
The campus is responsible for the payment of the exams to the university system.
Students interested in registering should go through the campus Counseling Offices. Students must register with their Counselor prior to the deadline. Credit by Exam tests will be given within the window listed with actual dates determined by each campus.
