Grand Canyon University (GCU) offers Waller ISD employees and aspiring educators clear pathways to become certified, degreed teachers. GCU also provides advanced degree opportunities for current educators who wish to further their careers through master’s and doctoral programs.

TAMUV

Texas A&M University–Victoria (TAMU–Victoria) offers a JagsTeach Paraprofessional Residency Pathway designed to support paraprofessionals as they transition into certified teaching roles. This program allows participants to work in Waller ISD while completing coursework toward a bachelor’s degree and teacher certification, providing a flexible, supportive route to the classroom.

iTeach Texas offers an alternative certification program designed for individuals who already have a bachelor’s degree and want to become certified teachers in Texas. The program provides flexible, online coursework, personalized support, and guided field experience to help candidates transition into the classroom. Through iTeach Texas, aspiring educators can complete certification requirements while gaining practical teaching experience, making it an accessible pathway to a rewarding career in education.
