State & Federal Programs

The Waller ISD Department of State & Federal Programs is committed to supporting student success and enhancing the academic experience for every student. Our department works collaboratively with students, families, campuses, district leadership, and community partners to provide resources, remove barriers, and support programs that help students succeed.

Our team includes:

  • Family Engagement Liaison – Works directly with families and schools to strengthen family-school partnerships, connect families with resources, and support meaningful family engagement opportunities.
  • At-Risk & Highly Mobile Liaison – Works directly with students and families who may be experiencing challenges or transitions, helping connect them with services, resources, and support needed for success in school.
  • Children & Youth Services (CYS) Specialists – Through a partnership with Harris County, Waller ISD contracts with two CYS Specialists who work directly with students and families, as well as school counselors and campus leadership. The CYS Specialists help identify student and family needs, connect families with appropriate resources and services, and provide additional support to help students overcome barriers to success.
  • Instructional Materials Allotment (IMA) Clerk – Works with teachers and campuses to support the distribution, inventory, and management of instructional materials and resources.
  • Director of State & Federal Programs – Oversees and manages the district's state and federal grants and works directly with campuses and district leadership to coordinate programs, ensure compliance with grant requirements, support program implementation, and align funding and resources with district and campus priorities.

Together, our team works to ensure students, families, and schools have access to the resources and support they need to create successful educational experiences for all Waller ISD students.
