Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Julie Bankston

Hello Waller Parents, Students, and other members of the community,

I can't believe I am starting my twenty-first year at Waller High School! I can't imagine being anywhere else. I have lived most my life in Waller and attended elementary, junior high, and high school here. I attended and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Social Services and Social Rehabilitation. I joined the Houston Police Academy and served the City of Houston in law enforcement for eight years. My next journey in life brought me back to Waller as I joined the staff at Waller High School teaching Sociology and English. In 2009 I graduated from Lamar University receiving my Master's of Education in Teacher Leadership. In my twenty-one years here at WHS, I have taught Sociology, Law Enforcement, English I Pre-AP, English II Pre-AP, and English I-IV.

This 2017-2018 year I will be teaching English IV and Sociology. I look forward to meeting and getting to know my students. My goal is to encourage and inspire my students to be men and women of integrity in their respective communities.
