Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jane Denena
My name is Jane Denena and I am excited to start the 2017-2018 school year. I am grateful to be part of such an awesome team of administrators and teachers here at TES! Every year brings new students with new opportunities, new experiences, and new challenges. I have always felt like I learn from my students as much, if not more, than they learn from me. Each student always takes a piece of my heart with them.
I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. I spent half of my career in the business industry but my heart was always in education. After my youngest child was born, I returned to school and earned teaching certifications in Special Education, EC-4, 4-8 Generalist and ESL. I taught PPCD and Kindergarten in Cy-Fair ISD before our family moved to Hempstead. This is my 3rd year with TES. I taught Kindergarten and 3rd grade Math/Science before returning to my roots...Special Education/Kindergarten. I am a Life Skills teacher in a self-contained classroom for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students.
My husband, Richard, and I have 2 amazing daughters, Nicole and Maggie. Nicole is married and raising 3 beautiful step-children. Maggie graduated from Waller High School this past June and is a freshman at SHSU where she will compete with the rodeo team. My life outside of TES revolves around my children and their activities. Nicole blessed us with three "instant" grandchildren and Maggie kept us busy with WHS Varsity Soccer and Texas High School Rodeo along with local Barrel Racing and Pole Bending events. We are looking forward to our next adventure with her...college rodeo. We enjoy relaxing on 20 acres at our home in Hempstead with Nicole and her family, Maggie and her friends, horses, dogs, cats, and rabbits. We also farm and raise cattle on 200 acre ranch in Monaville.
