Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Tammera Tankersley
Welcome! I am so excited for the upcoming school year. I began my teaching career in 1997 in Houston ISD after graduating from The University of Houston-Downtown. I have taught grades 4-8 in various positions in many schools, districts, and states.
My family moved quite a bit due to my husband's former career and this opened many teaching opportunities for me. I have been an English as a Second Language Specialist and an English as a Second Language Interventionist where I had the privilege to help students who are learning English while learning the content within the classroom. Last year, we moved to the Waller area from San Antonio.
I feel very blessed to be here in Waller. It has been a goal of mine for a long time. I am overjoyed knowing that I am much closer to my family and now will have a new family here in Waller ISD.
I love teaching! I love it when students make connections within learning and realize just how smart they are and what they have the power to do. There is a great knowledge that comes from reading and writing each day. I am looking forward to creating lessons and working with students to help them develop these skills.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. I firmly believe that student learning is most successful when we all work together! Go Bulldogs!
