Mrs. Allie Lee
Hello Bulldogs! I am so excited to begin my first year with you at Waller Junior High!
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and began my teaching career in my hometown of Houston. Over the years, I have taught world cultures, American history, and social studies for ESL newcomers. As a lifelong learner, I have written curriculum for the National Department of Education's Teaching American History grant program, and I have presented at the Korean War Veterans Digital Memorial national conference in Washington, D.C. My favorite topics to teach include the U.S. Constitution, Industrial Revolution, and the Reform Movements Era.
Throughout my career, I have worked with students from all walks of life. I got into teaching because it is my belief that ALL children should have the same opportunities for a quality education. As a teacher, it is my hope to not only engage my students in the importance of our country's history, but to also mentor and serve as a caring, consistent, and positive role model for them.
My husband, son, daughter, and I recently moved to a small farm in Waller with our dogs, cats, goats, and horses. I am looking forward to serving my new community as a social studies teacher here at WJH!
