Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Kelly Brod

My name is Kelly Brod (pronounced road with a b), and I am so excited to be joining Waller Junior High this year as your assistant principal.  I will be working with the 6th graders this year, and the A-K part of the alphabet for 7th grade.  I will also be working with the Math and Social Studies departments.  I have always been passionate about working with students and I strive to help these students become lifelong learners and problem solvers so that they can excel while they continue their education and, after that, to become productive members of the community.  I believe that all students learn differently, and it is our job as educators to meet each student’s individual needs so that they can learn and grow.

I am a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, where I also played collegiate volleyball.  I then furthered my education at Houston Baptist University where I earned my Masters of Educational Administration degree.  I have been in education since 2006, and have taught students from grades 6 through 12.  I began my teaching career in Florida at a Middle and High school, and then served as an Instructional Coach for two years.  I made the move back to Texas and have taught in Katy ISD for the past seven years.

I currently live in Columbus, Texas with my husband and two wonderful and energetic children.  When I am not at the baseball or softball fields with my kids, I enjoy running, reading, and crafting.  I am a huge fan of the Houston Astros and I love watching college football.

I am All In for a great first year at Waller Junior High! :)
