Hola!
I am very excited to be teaching at Waller Junior High this year! This year will be challenging, but we can make it through with kindness and understanding. My philosophy of teaching is that every child has the ability to learn with the right motivation, guidance, support, and practice. I try every day to create a safe and positive environment to inspire students to love to learn and be lifelong learners.
Although this is my first year teaching Spanish at Waller Junior High School, I have taught Spanish, ESL, and Bilingual over the last 14 years. I graduated from the University of Texas with both a BA in Spanish and an extreme love of foreign languages and language acquisition. Over the years, I have learned Spanish and Italian, as well as a little French, German, and Japanese.
In my free time, I love to skate roller derby for the Conroe Roller Derby team. I also love to go fishing and spend time at the beach.
