David Kaminski and his wife Catherine made their home in Waller shortly after they married in 1979. He has served on the Waller ISD School Board of Trustees since 1997 and has held positions of Secretary, Vice President, and President of the Board. He earned an Associate of Applied Science degree from North Harris County College and is a graduate of Tomball High School. Mr. Kaminski is currently employed as a Design Manager with AECOM in Houston.
David and Catherine are the parents of four children all of whom attended Waller ISD schools K-12. The three eldest are Texas Tech, TCU, and University of Houston graduates earning master’s degrees in music, accounting, and Hospitality Management and are currently working in Houston and Cypress. The youngest is concluding graduate studies at the University of Houston majoring in Computer Science.
Mr. Kaminski’s service to Waller ISD began in 1994 when he joined the Site Based Decision Making Committee at the campus and district levels. In May of 1997 he accepted an appointment to the WISD Board of Trustees to replace a resigning member and has been re-elected each term since.
David is a member of the Hempstead Knights of Columbus Council 12672. He and his family attend Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Church where he serves on the finance council. He and his family are active in the Waller Band Boosters and volunteer at other school functions.
