Fathers, Daughters Dance the Night Away

Photo of Turlington Elementary Dance On Feb. 8, E. Turlington (TES) and Fields Store Elementary (FSE) held father/daughter dances at their schools. Families filled schools for a memorable night of laughs and fun. At FSE’s dance, Boots and Bling, attendees wore fancy dress with a western twist. At the TES dance, Ties and Tiaras, a DJ kept families energized throughout the event.

Each school holds these dances for fathers and father figures to come together and be more involved with their children. Along with dancing, each event offered snacks and refreshments for families. There were also photo booths to capture memories of the special evening. TES Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) hosted Ties and Tiaras for the second year and will use the funds raised for teacher appreciation week.

“We had an amazing time and loved seeing the girls so happy,” TES PTO Hospitality Chair Donna Holder said. “We hope they enjoyed themselves with a night of dancing and laughing with their dads.”

In May, TES PTO will host a Movie with Mom night for mothers and sons to enjoy and have special time together.
