Kindergarten students at Fields Store Elementary celebrated a special milestone while following health and safety guidelines. Students celebrated the 50th Day of School with 1950s themed activities and dressing as famous characters from the era. During their physical education class, students loved brushing up on their dance skills at a Sock Hop. Parents were able to join in the celebration via Zoom thanks to kindergarten teachers Angela Armstrong, Flor Chaves, Desiree Frausto, and Georgene Ringleben. Each teacher carried their laptop so parents could see their children dancing. After breaking a sweat at the dance, all were treated to coke floats with teachers taking up the classic role of ice cream scoopers.
