Holleman Elementary Hosts Annual Fall Festival

I.T. Holleman Elementary (HES) and its Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) raised over $6,000 during its annual Fall Festival. The purpose for the festival each year is to raise funds to be used for student field trips, teacher appreciation gifts, student celebration activities and snacks, holiday meals for HES families in need, and various education enrichment opportunities throughout the school year.

“The Fall Festival is one of Holleman’s oldest traditions. Our goal is to keep it as fun as possible and raise as much money as we can to continue to help out our students and teachers,” HES PTO President Ashlee Leiber said.

Each HES classroom was responsible for a booth with a fun activity. This year’s most popular booths were the dunking booth, face painting, and first aid where students bandaged pretend injuries. There were also live and silent auctions where items from class art projects to large donated items were up for purchase.

HES PTO would like to thank the event’s sponsors: Feels Like Home Childcare, Don Hart Radiator, Allegiance Bank, and Melissa Hegemeyer.
