Abke Named Holleman Elementary Principal

Ashley Abke Waller ISD (WISD) is proud to announce the selection of Ashley Abke, Ed.D. as the new leader of Holleman Elementary. Abke brings nine years of experience as a teacher, after-school coordinator, and assistant principal to her new role as principal. Most recently, she served as assistant principal at Fields Store Elementary. She is a graduate of Waller High School who is passionate about serving students and the community.

“Ashley has an energy and enthusiasm for education which shows in her commitment to public school and our district.” WISD Elementary Chief of Schools Angie Davis said. “She is a life-long learner with a servant’s heart who will do great things for Holleman’s students and staff. I am truly excited for the Holleman community and look forward to seeing what the future holds under her leadership.”

Abke received her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University, master’s from Lamar University, and doctorate from Texas A&M Commerce.

“I am so honored to serve the community that I grew up in,” Abke said. “It is a blessing to do what I love in my hometown. I look forward to getting to know our staff, students, and parents and partnering together to achieve greatness.”

She will begin her new role immediately. Abke replaces Michael Skinner who was named Waller ISD director of student services earlier this summer. She and her husband, Randy, reside in Waller with their three children Andrew, Kyle, and Elizabeth.
