During the regular meeting of the Waller ISD (WISD) Board of Trustees on Thursday, Feb. 13, Nicole Donaldson was approved as the new principal of Holleman Elementary. Donaldson has served as the assistant principal at HES since 2022.
“I am incredibly honored and grateful to serve the Holleman family,” Donaldson said. “Over the last few years, my heart has been filled working with our amazing staff, students, and families, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue Holleman’s legacy of leadership and learning”
Donaldson joined the WISD family in 2019 as a literacy instructional coach. In addition to her experience as an assistant principal and literacy coach in WISD, she has served other districts as an elementary teacher.
“Ms. Donaldson is a natural leader and has been the perfect fit for Holleman. I love her ability to build strong relationships, her calm demeanor, strategic approach, and instructional coaching skills,” WISD Chief of Schools Elementary Angie Davis said. “ The transition from assistant principal to principal will be smooth for her and I am truly excited for the Holleman family to continue doing great things under her leadership”
Donaldson earned her Bachelor of Teaching and learning from the University of Houston and Master in Educational Administration from Lamar University. She is set to transition to her role as HES principal following spring break as the current HES Principal Michelle Sciba begins her role as principal of the new Cure Elementary, which will open in August 2025. Durante la reunión regular del Consejo Escolar de Waller ISD (WISD) el jueves 13 de febrero, Nicole Donaldson fue aprobada como la nueva directora de la escuela primaria Holleman (HES). Donaldson se ha desempeñado como subdirectora de HES desde 2022.
“Me siento increíblemente honrada y agradecida de servir a la familia Holleman”, dijo Donaldson. “Durante los últimos años, mi corazón se ha llenado al trabajar con nuestro increíble personal, estudiantes y familias, y estoy encantada de tener la oportunidad de continuar con el legado de liderazgo y aprendizaje de Holleman”.
Donaldson se unió a la familia WISD en 2019 como instructora de alfabetización. Además de su experiencia como subdirectora e instructora de alfabetización en WISD, ha trabajado en otros distritos como maestra de primaria.
“La Sra. Donaldson es una líder natural y ha sido la elección perfecta para Holleman. Me encanta su capacidad para construir relaciones sólidas, su proyección tranquila, su enfoque estratégico y sus habilidades de orientación educativa,” dijo Angie Davis, jefa de escuelas primarias de WISD. “La transición de subdirectora a directora será sencilla para ella y estoy realmente emocionada de que la familia Holleman continúe haciendo grandes cosas bajo su liderazgo.”
Donaldson obtuvo su Licenciatura en Enseñanza y Aprendizaje en la Universidad de Houston y su Maestría en Administración Educativa en la Universidad Lamar. Está lista para pasar a su puesto como directora de HES después de las vacaciones de primavera, ya que la actual directora de HES, Michelle Sciba, comenzará su función como directora de la nueva escuela primaria Cure, que abrirá en agosto de 2025. ¡Felicitaciones a Donaldson y Sciba por sus nuevas funciones de liderazgo!
