Slaughter Wins 3rd Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Championship

Photo of Lexington Slaughter February 28, Waller High School (WHS) junior Lexington Slaughter made history at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR). She marked a 221 to win the final go-around of the National Cutting Horse Association, $35,000 Non-Professional Class. Slaughter qualified for the finals after winning the February 27 round by showing her American Quarter Horse. This is her third championship at the HLSR. She is also part of the WHS Rodeo Team and recently won the cutting event in the Texas High School Rodeo Association Region 7 finals.
